Welcome to the site.   I tend to avoid things digital when I can. So why then start a website?  I am a Christian, of the full gospel variety.  I’ve observed three camps In the faith regarding the person of the Holy Spirit: full acceptance, partial acceptance, and rejection.  Not a difficult observation to make.  I’ve also observed that among those who make their camp in partial acceptance or rejection of the Holy Spirit (all Christians have the Holy Spirit, but more about that later), the reasons may be either hardness of heart, misinformation, lack of understanding or knowledge of the scriptures, or a combination of them.

What makes me an authority?  Well, I am not.  I am not qualified.  I’m not a priest or pastor, or anything.  Do I have all the answers?  Not even close.  Never went to a school for religion or attended a semitary  ;o . As a young Christian in the 70s I happened to be in a time and place where God had raised up a remarkable work that included a remarkably anointed teacher to whom had been given remarkable revelation of what the bible calls the milk of the word, described as six principles in Hebrews chapter 6.  I’m no one notable; I’m just trying to distribute some milk.  If you’re above drinking some milk, this may not be for you.  I sat under the brother’s teaching for a little over two years before God moved me out. Lest you give me any credit, it is mostly his revelation, not mine, that I will share. He had sat under someone else’s teaching and was then faithful to share it with others and me.  This site is my attempt at trying to be likewise faithful.  Digital format is not my first choice, but I have come to a point of fearing being that lazy servant that hid his master’s talent in the ground for fear of not doing well with it. So here goes. If there is anyone out there that benefits from this site, then mission accomplished.  When I began the site I had planned on sharing only the principle of baptisms; it is the subject of controversy and of most importance in recent times and especially today.  If the devil can’t blind you to the need for the new birth, then this subject of baptisms is next on his agenda to either blind you from or twist into something it isn’t.  I have introduced a couple of other topics. I will return to them and others once the topic of baptisms is completed.  From time to time I go back to edit or add a page or two.

Without trying to persuade anyone to accept these scriptures as being true, I am building the site on these five precepts:

  • I Pet 4:11 If any man speaklet him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ… How can you do that?  What in the world are the oracles of God?
  • Heb 5:12 when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe.  Heb 6:1-2 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  These six principles are what the scriptures say are the first principles of the oracles.
  • II Pet 1:21  the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. Scripture is written by holy men moved by the Holy Ghost.  They are not thoughts dreamed up by men.  Don’t judge the bible by something you read in a book.  Judge the book by the bible.
  • Jn 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The word is God in written form.  He inscribed the ten commandments himself; the rest He did through inspiring sanctified  men.
  • II Pet 1:20 Knowing this first,  no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.  You can take a scripture and make it say your favorite belief, but the Holy Spirit is the one who puts scriptures together to define scripture and establish principles.  Is 34:16 Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no one of these shall fail, none shall want her mate: for my mouth it hath commanded, and his spirit it hath gathered them. The bible is not a cafeteria where you can pick and choose scripture and then run with it.  And it’s not Burger King where you can have it your way.  And you’re not going to get much revelation without the help of the Holy Spirit. Seek understanding in prayer time.

Know this dear ones: as Paul told Timothy in II Tim 4:3 the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears. That time is now.  Depending on your level of interest, the first principles of sound doctrine may something you have to endure, like when you had to memorize those awful multiplication tables in grade school.  So, I will try to make it as easy as possible and write much of it in conversational style, but will follow an outline form.  I will continue as I am able.  I make so many notes that I am accustomed to using informal short cuts and abbreviations for the books of the bible and for many words such as HG for Holy Ghost.  I think you’ll figure it out okay.  What else?  I dunno.  I’m learning about this media as I’m going, and I’m stumbling a little bit as I’m trying to build it.  I will try to add something every month. If you have tried to contact me, please bear with me – I’m still sorting out issues with the email.

Be filled with the Spirit!

So, welcome to… Hebrews 6:2 …the doctrine of baptisms…Let’s begin by taking a look at what all the fuss is about.

THE ISSUES – ONE OF THE MAIN ISSUES WITH THE DOCTRINE OF BAPTISMS IS THE ISSUE OF UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRST Heb 6:2 doctrine-singular, baptisms-plural – it’s one of the most controversial doctrines, ESPECIALLY the baptism in HG w/evidence of speaking in tongues BECAUSE this is where the issue lies as to whether being a Christian is going to really mean anything outwardly or not in this life, for most people. Don’t get mad yet. I said most people. To follow along, press the HOME button at the top of the page. I strongly urge you to begin at the beginning!
